SUPPORTERS RAISE A FORK FOR CHARITY
10 July 2009
Charity fundraisers who support the cutting-edge work of research scientists will be raising a fork and some money next month at the Summertime Dinner event.
Over 90 guests will be treated to a three-course meal followed by entertainment from tenor and baritone singers.
The event, in aid of North West Cancer Research Fund, takes place at Deganwy Castle Hotel on Friday July 31st 2009, starting at 7.30pm.
North West Cancer Research Fund’s Llandudno Committee President, John Boyle, said: “This promises to be a fantastic occasion.
“Cancer affects us all in one way or another – we hope that by raising our glasses and emptying our pockets we can make a real difference in the fight against the disease.”
North West Cancer Research Fund provides funds for research into the fundamental causes of cancer at the Universities of Bangor, Lancaster and Liverpool.
By keeping overheads and administration charges to an absolute minimum, the charity is able to give almost 90p in every pound raised directly to support research.
Tickets for the dinner are still available and cost £25 each. They can be purchased from Iris at NWCRF by calling 01492 572 551.
