LADIES NIGHT ADDS CATWALK CHIC TO CANCER FIGHT

Charity campaigners are teaming up with a luxury lingerie brand to bring a touch of glamour to the catwalk – while helping scientists crack the causes of cancer.
North West Cancer Research Fund is staging a Ladies’ Night at Liverpool’s Adelphi Hotel in association with Irresistible, the designer label winning awards for its stylish undies and nightwear.
Guests will be able to view their latest range, while enjoying a massage or manicure – all washed down with free pink fizz served up by a hunky butler.
Each guest will also receive a goodie bag and vouchers enabling them to buy lingerie and beauty products at a discount. Specialist advice will be available to ensure a perfect fit.
Anne Jackson, Chief Executive of North West Cancer Research Fund, said: “This will be a wonderful night – lots of girly fun, and obviously all in an extremely good cause.
“We are delighted that Irresistible are helping us in this way. We will have models of all shapes and sizes, not Size Zero types, so real women with real curves can relax and feel right at home.”
The NWCRF was founded just over 60 years ago. It raises money to support fundamental research into the disease, carried out by scientists based at Liverpool, Bangor and Lancaster Universities.
As the charity keeps its overheads to a bare minimum, it is able to donate almost ninety pence of every pound raised directly to assist research projects.
